Thank you so much for sharing this photograph. I was immediately taken with the conceptual feel of this image. The shot simply "shouted out" from the page. Living in NZ you are immediately reminded of the unfurled fern images you see everywhere as an iconic NZ image. Also the maori people carve this shape in many of their pieces of sculpture, having a very sacred meaning for them. Absolutely stunning capture and, as you say, beauty truly is only a step away, if you look at the world the way you do. This is why I really enjoy being on da where you do get to see how other photographers view the world. Thanks again for a truly inspirational, educational and motivational shot.

Hey Simon. Thanks a lot for your kind words and your comment. Really appreciate it :aww: I looked unfurled fern up on google and I agree with you. Looks very similar. Didn't know it was an iconic image in NZ :)
